The Kitties in My Space

I love cats. Live cats and not so live cats like cat sculptures, cat art, etc.  That's why when I go to my favorite thrift shop I always check the shelves for interesting cat trinkets and curiosities.   Every once in a while I happen to pick up something and I usually stick it in my home office.

Beautiful wooden sculpture, my favorite.

Ceramic cat trio.  I saw these guys sitting on the shelf and just couldn't pass them by.

Ceramic Bastet.  My office would not be whole without an Egyptian Feline Goddess .  One of must haves of mine.

There is even a spooky cat on my monitor... couldn't resist.

And the biggest cat curiosity in my home office is of course Hercules, my two year old cat who just loves jumping up on the back rest of my chair and rest there.  Sometimes I have my headphones on and he just freaks me out when he does that... but I find it so adorable that he just gets away with it. :)

Yes, there was once a time when he lost balance and was hanging by his claws off the back.  Too bad I didn't get a picture of that.

Cheers!!

A New Cool Guy guards my Post It Notes

I was going to write about something else as my first post hiatus blog entry, but then something awesome happened today at my local thrift store and I just had to share it.

I think I mentioned it somewhere already, I love Gargoyles.  I have two in front of my front door and several scattered around the house, mostly in my office.

Today I walked into the shop and there it was, sitting on the shelf looking as cool as a cucumber.  At first I didn't realize the functionality.  Something was missing... Was it a coaster holder but coasters were missing?  I didn't want to put it away... Gargoyle was way to awesome...

And then the epiphany.  Post It holder!!

Yes... I have a cool dude guarding my Post Its now.  They should be safe from now on.

Resurrection

After a year of hiatus, I've decided to resurrect this blog for couple of reasons, one of which being that I miss it.  This blog has been a lot of fun and I am not ready to give up on it just yet.  It's my outlet for all things dark and mysterious, it represents the side of me which is important and special and one that not many people understand.

Going forward I will focus less on the fashion and more on the overall life of gothy personality.  This is how this blog originally start out but then fashion kind of took over.  I want to to take that back.  I will talk about books, movies, decorations and other pleasurable things that a woman with the darker side might enjoy.

I will see you soon!

Cheers,
